This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with technology transactions and commercial contracting experience who is interested in supporting a global law firm's technology, procurement, and innovation initiatives. The role combines legal, operational, and strategic responsibilities, providing significant interaction with firm leadership while overseeing technology contracting, vendor management, data privacy, and AI governance.

The Technology Contracts Attorney will oversee the firm's technology contracting process, including reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing agreements involving software, cloud services, technology consulting, managed services, and other technology vendors. Responsibilities include developing technology procurement processes, creating contract playbooks and templates, maintaining a contract lifecycle management system, establishing Outside Provider Guidelines, leading negotiations with technology vendors, and collaborating with the Office of General Counsel, Information Technology, Procurement, Security, Human Resources, Marketing, and Finance to ensure consistent contracting standards across the firm. The role also supports the firm's Technology & Innovation Committee, advises on technology governance, privacy and data protection, procurement strategy, vendor management, and risk management, while helping drive the adoption of AI and other technologies to improve contracting workflows.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must possess a J.D. from an ABA accredited law school, be licensed and in good standing with a state bar, and have at least 3 years of technology contract review and negotiation experience, preferably with a large law firm, professional services organization, or corporate legal or procurement team. Applicants should have experience with technology agreements, software licensing, cloud services, vendor management, procurement, data privacy laws including GDPR, Microsoft Word and Teams, records management systems, and generative AI technologies.
