TRANSPORTATION | INSURANCE DEFENSE ATTORNEY (5–15 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an attorney to join its Transportation Practice. This role offers the opportunity to work within a nationally recognized transportation defense team representing freight carriers, trucking companies, transportation brokers, insurers, and related entities in high-exposure litigation matters.
The Attorney will handle all phases of transportation and trucking defense litigation, including matters involving heavy trucking/tractor trailers, cargo, and freight carriers. Responsibilities include drafting and responding to discovery and pleadings, preparing and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and managing cases from inception through resolution. The role involves defending claims related to negligent hiring and retention, hours of service, ECM data, DOT compliance, accident reconstruction, and other industry-specific issues. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and writing skills, the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment, and comfort working both independently and collaboratively within a litigation team.
REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; 5–15 years of insurance defense experience with focus on heavy trucking, tractor trailer, cargo, or freight carrier litigation; strong drafting and analytical skills; excellent communication abilities; and active Georgia Bar admission in good standing.
