REAL ESTATE - FINANCE (LOAN SERVICING & ASSET MANAGEMENT) | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3+ YRS): Our client, an AmLaw100 national firm, is seeking a Mid-Level Associate to join its Real Estate Practice.Â
This opportunity is ideal for a real estate attorney with significant real estate finance experience looking to advise sophisticated clients on complex debt and equity transactions. The role offers the opportunity to represent property owners, investors, lenders, borrowers, developers, and private equity clients on sophisticated real estate and real estate finance matters across a variety of asset classes while collaborating with a nationally recognized real estate practice.
The Associate will advise clients on a broad range of real estate and real estate finance transactions, including acquisition financings, mezzanine financings, construction financings, refinancings, loan modifications, joint ventures, and other equity arrangements. Responsibilities also include representing lenders and borrowers in sophisticated real estate debt transactions, drafting and reviewing core transaction documents, managing transactions from inception through closing and post-closing, collaborating with clients and internal teams on complex matters, negotiating transaction documents, and providing strategic legal advice on real estate investment and financing initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have 3 or more years of law firm experience focused primarily on real estate finance and related transactions. Applicants should have substantial experience representing lenders or borrowers in sophisticated real estate debt matters, including acquisition financings, mezzanine financings, construction financings, refinancings, and loan modifications. Experience with joint ventures and other equity arrangements is preferred. Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, a J.D. degree, and active bar admission in the jurisdiction where they intend to practice. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage complex matters, work collaboratively, and contribute to the growth of a national real estate practice.
