BANKRUPTCY & RESTRUCTURING | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3-5 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Mid-Level Associate to join its Bankruptcy & Restructuring Group. This opportunity offers the ability to work on sophisticated bankruptcy, restructuring, distressed M&A, and special situations matters while collaborating with a growing national practice representing major stakeholders in complex financial restructurings.

The Associate will advise debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in a broad range of distressed and restructuring matters. Responsibilities include supporting Chapter 11 proceedings, handling out-of-court restructurings, negotiating with creditors and stakeholders, assisting with distressed asset sales and acquisitions, and advising on complex capital structure and restructuring solutions. The role also includes transaction management, legal research, drafting motions and restructuring documents, participating in negotiations, and developing strategic solutions for financially distressed businesses.

The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience across bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including exposure to distressed investing, private credit, capital solutions, and distressed M&A transactions. Candidates should be comfortable navigating complex financial structures, analyzing distressed business scenarios, and working in fast-paced, high-stakes environments requiring strong judgment and problem-solving skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking sophisticated restructuring work, significant client exposure, and long-term growth within a nationally expanding insolvency and restructuring platform.

REQUIRED: J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar admission in the jurisdiction of intended practice; 3–5 years of bankruptcy and restructuring experience; strong academic credentials; excellent writing, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; and prior law firm or comparable experience. Experience representing debtors, creditors, lenders, and investors in Chapter 11 cases, out-of-court restructurings, distressed M&A, distressed investing, private credit, and distressed asset sales/acquisitions is preferred.
