BANKRUPTCY | STAFF ATTORNEY (3+ YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a Staff Attorney to join its Bankruptcy, Creditors’ Rights & Financial Restructuring practice. This opportunity offers the ability to work on sophisticated bankruptcy, insolvency, restructuring, and creditors’ rights matters within a highly regarded Am Law 200 practice serving a diverse range of financial institutions, creditors, and business clients.
The Staff Attorney will support the practice in handling bankruptcy litigation, creditors’ rights disputes, restructuring matters, and financial recovery proceedings. Responsibilities may include legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, briefs, and memoranda, assisting with contested bankruptcy proceedings, supporting litigation strategy, analyzing financial and procedural issues, and collaborating with partners and clients on complex insolvency-related matters. The role offers meaningful exposure to Chapter 11 proceedings, creditor remedies, distressed asset matters, and financial restructuring strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong litigation foundation, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to quickly analyze complex legal and financial issues. While prior bankruptcy experience is not required, candidates with litigation experience and an interest in bankruptcy and restructuring law are strongly encouraged to apply. Judicial clerkship experience, particularly with a bankruptcy judge, is highly valued.

REQUIRED: J.D. from an accredited law school; minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting or as a judicial law clerk; superior academic credentials; exceptional research, writing, analytical, and communication skills; and the ability to manage complex matters in a team-oriented environment. Bankruptcy, insolvency, restructuring, or creditors’ rights experience; clerkship with a bankruptcy judge; and prior experience with contested litigation or financial disputes is preferred.Â
