INTERNATIONAL EMPLOYMENT | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3-5 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Mid-Level Associate to join its Employment Group, focusing on international and cross-border employment counseling. This opportunity offers the ability to advise emerging growth companies, multinational corporations, and Fortune 500 clients on complex domestic and global employment matters while working closely with DLA Piper’s international employment platform across multiple jurisdictions.
The Associate will advise clients on a broad range of employment law issues with a strong emphasis on cross-border counseling and global workforce management. Responsibilities include conducting employment-related due diligence in corporate transactions, advising on employment policies and workplace practices, drafting and negotiating employment, retention, separation, and related agreements, counseling on reductions in force and employee terminations, drafting restrictive covenant agreements, and advising on employee mobility issues. The role also involves supporting clients on the employment aspects of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other strategic transactions.

REQUIRED: J.D. from a nationally recognized law school; 3+ years of employment counseling experience; strong legal research, drafting, analytical, and communication skills; ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment; and active bar admission in the jurisdiction of the office location. Candidates with 5+ years of experience must have direct international employment counseling experience. Prior international or cross-border employment counseling experience; Am Law 100 law firm experience; experience supporting employment-related corporate transactions; and experience advising multinational employers on global workforce issues.
