Description

Our client, an AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join its team as a non-partnership track salaried attorney supporting the group in California. The attorney will independently run employment litigation matters, take depositions, handle hearings, and interact directly with clients in a reduced-hours arrangement with an anticipated 1,400–1,700 annual billable-hour expectation. Telecommuting may be considered from a home office in any U.S. state where the firm maintains an office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Independently manage labor and employment litigation matters; develop case strategy, conduct legal research and analysis, and take meaningful ownership of matters from inception through resolution; take and defend depositions and handle hearings
  •  Interact directly with clients and litigation teams; provide timely and practical employment litigation advice; draft substantive legal work product; manage cases efficiently within a reduced-hours platform while maintaining high-quality client service

REQUIREMENTS:

  •  6+ years exp. of law firm Labor & Employment experience, with demonstrated ability to independently run litigation matters, take depositions, and handle hearings
  •  Strong analytical, legal research, writing, communication, case-management, and client-service skills; ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and clients
  •  JD from a nationally recognized and accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
  •  Must be bar licensed or prepared to become licensed in the jurisdiction of the hiring office; for telecommuting arrangements, the attorney must be licensed in the U.S. state from which they will work and the firm must maintain an office in that state
  •  Billable requirement: 1,400–1,700 hours annually; telecommuting arrangements may be considered based on office location and applicable bar admission
