NATIONAL SECURITY & GLOBAL TRADE | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (3-4YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its National Security and Global Trade practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, cross-border matters involving international trade, regulatory compliance, and national security issues for leading multinational clients.
The Associate will advise clients on U.S. economic sanctions (OFAC), export controls under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and national security matters arising in corporate and financial transactions. Responsibilities include supporting CFIUS reviews, structuring transactions to mitigate national security risks, preparing filings, and coordinating with U.S. government agencies. The role also involves conducting diligence in M&A, private equity, and financing transactions; drafting compliance policies and contractual provisions; and assisting with internal investigations, voluntary disclosures, and regulatory inquiries.

REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; 3–4 years of experience in international trade, sanctions, export controls, CFIUS, or national security matters; experience supporting transactions involving regulatory or national security considerations; strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment; and admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
