Description

HEALTHCARE PRIVACY & COMPLIANCE | JUNIOR TO MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (2-4 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm,  is seeking a junior to mid-level Associate to join its Healthcare Privacy and Compliance team within the firm’s globally recognized Digital Assets and Data Management Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to work with regional, national, and international healthcare clients on cutting-edge privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory matters.

The Associate will advise healthcare clients on a wide range of privacy and compliance issues, including incident response related to cybersecurity events such as ransomware attacks and business email compromises. Responsibilities include assisting with regulatory investigations involving federal and state agencies under HIPAA and related laws, conducting proactive compliance counseling, and supporting clients in data security preparedness and training. The role also involves advising on emerging issues impacting the healthcare industry, including the integration of artificial intelligence and evolving data privacy regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management skills, the ability to manage a fast-paced workload, and the capacity to translate complex technical and legal issues into practical guidance for clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an associate seeking exposure to sophisticated, high-impact matters within a collaborative, forward-thinking practice that emphasizes innovation, mentorship, and professional development.

REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; 2–4 years of relevant experience in privacy, cybersecurity, healthcare law, or litigation with a demonstrated interest in these areas; understanding of healthcare operations and HIPAA compliance; strong academic credentials; excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. Experience at an AmLaw 200 firm or specialized boutique is preferred. Federal clerkship or experience working with regulators is a plus.

TO APPLY: Please submit a cover letter,  resume and academic transcripts in PDF format.
