INFORMATION TECH - PRIVACY & CYBER LITIGATION | MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE (4–6 YRS): Our client, a boutique firm, is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Privacy + Cyber Practice Group.
This opportunity is ideal for a litigation attorney with privacy, cybersecurity, consumer protection, class action, or federal court litigation experience looking to advise clients on sophisticated technology-related disputes and regulatory matters. The role offers the opportunity to handle complex privacy and cyber litigation matters while collaborating with a nationally recognized practice group.
The Associate will advise clients on a broad range of privacy and cybersecurity litigation matters, including consumer-focused litigation, class actions, federal court matters, privacy-related statutory claims, and other complex disputes involving emerging technologies and data privacy issues. Responsibilities also include managing day-to-day case activities, leading factual investigations, researching legal issues, developing litigation strategies, drafting pleadings including answers, motions to dismiss, and motions for summary judgment, taking and defending depositions, negotiating with opposing counsel, managing client relationships, and providing strategic legal advice on litigation matters.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have 4 to 6 years of law firm experience focused primarily on litigation, preferably involving privacy and cybersecurity, consumer litigation, class actions, or federal court matters. Applicants should have substantial experience managing litigation matters, conducting fact investigations, drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, handling discovery and depositions, developing litigation strategies, and communicating with clients and opposing counsel. Experience with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or other privacy-related statutes is preferred. Federal clerkship experience is a plus. Strong analytical, writing, communication, project management, and collaboration skills are required. Candidates must have excellent academic and professional credentials and be in good standing in the state where they reside.
