ENERGY TRANSACTIONAL PROJECT DEVELOPMENT | MID TO SENIOR LEVEL ASSOCIATE (4-7 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw50 firm, is seeking an Associate to join its Energy Transactional practice.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced energy transactions attorney looking to work on sophisticated project development, financing, and acquisition matters across the energy and infrastructure sectors. The role offers significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to advise clients on complex domestic and cross border energy transactions as part of a nationally recognized practice.
The Associate will represent clients in energy project development and project finance transactions involving conventional and renewable energy projects. Responsibilities include advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, EPC agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, tolling agreements, development agreements, supply agreements, power purchase agreements, and project finance transactions. The role also includes drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing key components of complex deals, collaborating with multidisciplinary deal teams, and providing strategic legal advice throughout all stages of project development and financing.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have 4 to 7 years of transactional experience, including experience with M&A, joint ventures, EPC agreements, O&M agreements, tolling agreements, development agreements, supply agreements, power purchase agreements, and project finance, ideally involving energy, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects. Applicants should possess strong drafting and negotiation skills, excellent teamwork and communication abilities, and the capacity to independently manage significant portions of sophisticated transactions.
