IP- PATENT PREPARATION & PROSECUTION | JUNIOR ASSOCIATE (1–2 YRS): Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Junior Intellectual Property Associate to join its Intellectual Property Litigation, Trademarks, and Patent team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a growing multidisciplinary IP practice handling patent prosecution matters alongside trademark and licensing work across a national platform.
The Associate will support patent preparation and prosecution efforts, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO, conducting technical and legal analysis, and assisting with trademark and licensing matters as needed. Responsibilities include collaborating with attorneys and clients on intellectual property strategy, managing assignments efficiently, and contributing to sophisticated IP matters requiring both technical and legal expertise. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and writing skills, practical business judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
REQUIRED: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; approximately 1–2 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience; undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering; USPTO registration as a patent attorney; strong drafting and analytical abilities; excellent academic credentials; and active bar admission in a jurisdiction where Nelson Mullins maintains
