LITIGATION - GENERAL AND COMPLEX LIABILITY | OF COUNSEL (10+ YRS): Our client, a national firm, is seeking a senior Of Counsel Attorney to join its Litigation Practice. 

This opportunity is ideal for a senior litigation attorney with significant general liability and insurance defense experience looking to manage complex matters, develop defense strategies, and provide strategic legal guidance to clients. The role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated litigation matters while working closely with partners, clients, experts, associates, and staff in a collaborative environment.

The Of Counsel Attorney will handle a broad range of general liability and insurance defense matters, including premises liability, construction accidents, and other complex liability disputes. Responsibilities also include managing cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and trial preparation; representing clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions; developing defense strategies with partners, clients, and experts; conducting legal research and drafting briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate filings; retaining and collaborating with expert witnesses; supervising associates and staff members; managing case deadlines and assignments; and providing high-level legal insight and strategic advice throughout the litigation process.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have 10 or more years of law firm experience focused primarily on general liability and insurance defense litigation. Applicants should have substantial experience independently managing cases from inception through trial preparation, handling discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, negotiations, and courtroom proceedings. Strong analytical, research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills are required. Candidates must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to practice in Georgia, with additional state admissions considered a plus. Experience participating in negotiations and mediations is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, independence, strong client-service skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a litigation team.
